Understanding Bluetooth Printers-Installing Device Drivers for Bluetooth Devices

Bluetooth technology is nothing new, but in many respects it still seems to be more of a buzz word rather than a well understood, commonly accepted technology. You see advertisements for Bluetooth Printer, cell phones, PDAs, and laptops, and many more. Many different devices are taking advantage of this wireless standard.

Installing the Appropriate Drivers: A special network adapter allows your computer to accept the Bluetooth reception. In order for your computer to recognize the hardware, you will need to install the appropriate device drivers. Thus aside from the PDA, for example, you would also need the installation disc for your Bluetooth Printer. Whether you are using a network card or dongle, both devices should come included with an installation CD that contains the device drivers you need. Keep in mind that you will have to install the device drivers for each piece of Bluetooth hardware you want to use on your computer.

Use of Bluetooth Technology: The Bluetooth technology has been employed to be used in our day to day business activities is by the ability to print documents, receipts and photos from our cell phones, PDA's and computers. Whether you are in a small office or have a Bluetooth enabled portable printer with you in the field, it is easy to print whatever you need.Older printers are also still usable with the Bluetooth. Buying an adaptor is easy and keeps you from having to buy a whole new printer that happens to have the Bluetooth technology built in.

Practical Applications: There are a variety of products that take advantage of Bluetooth's capabilities, from laptops and PDAs, to headphones and input devices, and even Bluetooth Mobile Printer adapters. Many Laptops include an on board Bluetooth adapter to allow the system to connect to any Bluetooth device right out of the box. For laptop or desktop systems that do not have an adapter built in, there are many USB Bluetooth adapters available. Bluetooth enabled PDAs allow for convenient wireless synchronization and data transfer. Bluetooth printer adapters make sharing a printer extremely convenient by eliminating the need for any wires or special configurations on a typical network. Printing to any compatible HP printer from a PC, PDA or mobile phone can now be done easily from anywhere in the office.
